Slow Fashion October – “Small”
This week in is all about small. I struggle with this because I’m just becoming aware of what sustainability is all about—handmade, indie fashion, less is more, quality over quantity, and capsule wardrobes.
I have shared on Facebook my process of downsizing over the summer and how I want to be a mindful consumer. My yarn stash is still too large and I continue to add to it but now I am choosing yarn that is consciously produced by companies that are environmentally minded and at least in the USA.
It’s not as easy but I’m always up for a challenge!
My “Slow Fashion October” fashion is the Element by Kirsten Johnstone using Brooklyn Tweed Loft a 100% American Wool. I will post more pictures has I getting closer to completion.
